Inside Nollywood Launches AMVCA Podcast Series
This limited podcast series will focus on nominees for the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards and showcase their works and processes. Darey Art Alade and Xavier Ighorodje kick off the series.
As part of plans to properly document work in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, we have put together a limited podcast series that provides a platform for the film talents to share their experiences making the focus projects, journeys in the industry and plans for the future.
The podcast is created around the upcoming Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) and key nominees, across categories, talk with the team. The decision to base the project around the awards was not taken lightly. We wanted to do our part in highlighting nominees of what has become the most influential award in the Nigerian film industry.
Once we were certain that this was an important thing to do, we decided to use a medium that ensured that the conversations will be available to as many people as possible, for as long as possible. Using the podcast format allows for this and keeps the gems shared in this project safe for generations to come.
Improving the quality of conversations in Nollywood and documenting same for a future that needs it, is the core of the work we do at Inside Nollywood. We can’t thank you enough for supporting us.
