Inside Nollywood’s Film Fellowship Returns This April
It's not April's Fool. It's been a long wait but the Fellowship is back! Apply, share and support.
Last year, Inside Nollywood took its commitment to the Nigerian film industry a notch higher with the launch of the Film Content Creation Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind fellowship for young creative journalists interested in Nollywood.
The IN fellowship debuted in September 2022, with fifteen journalists who have since gone on to do what we desperately hoped for — further improve the quality of conversations about the Nollywood industry.
With the support of our mentors, carefully selected for their varying experiences and platforms, we embarked on what we dare say, remains one of our greatest achievements to date.
Riding on the euphoria of the astronomical success of our maiden edition, we are pleased to announce that we are back!
We have spent some time on the drawing board mapping out our strategy for this year, and at this juncture, we think it’s ready. We are glad to announce a call for applications.
This year, The IN Fellowship will broaden its journalism scope. This is hinged on last year’s not one size fits all strategy. Our successful applicants will explore more than just film journalism with sometime dedicated to interacting with actual players in our subject industry.
Yes! Our mentors this year will be a perfect mix of film and non-film journos, and filmmakers.
So who are we looking for this time round?
Enthusiastic creatives who are interested in broadening their knowledge about the Nigerian film space and in spreading the word…creatively!
