In Nollywood’s report, ‘The Industry’ is out and answers some burning questions about the Nollywood film audience and output in 2023. This third issue expounds on the theme ‘Who is Watching Nollywood?’ with a collection of essays, articles and data analysis examining Nollywood’s performance in 2023.

Deyemi Okanlawon’s ‘All is Fair in Love’ gears for the cinemas
The actor makes his producer debut in an upcoming romantic feature film All is Fair in Love. The film tells the story of two friends who own a fashion company but find themselves caught in a love triangle. Starring alongside Okanlawon are Timini Egbuson, Buhie Samuels, Venita Akpofure, and Beauty Tukura.
All is Fair in Love comes to the cinemas on February 14.
‘Orisa’ makes its way to Prime Video
Odunlade Adekola’s Orisa is heading to Prime Video after its theatrical run last year. The film earned 127.8 million naira through its six weeks in the cinemas. It tells the story of a king who becomes insane after going rogue and losing respect for the gods and his people. Things get worse for him when a terrorist he made a deal with returns to take over his kingdom.
The film stars Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Shaffy Bello, and Muyiwa Ademola.
Anikulapo Returns: Kunle Afolayan Productions release the trailer for ‘Anikulapo, Rise of the Sceptre’
Saro, the one whom death could not hold back, returns to the screen in the sequel of Kunle Afolayan’s Anikulapo. The film returns as a limited-series featuring a string of more complicated events which further expand from where the story of Saro and Arolake ended in the prequel.
New acts are expected to feature in the sequel including Uzee Usman, Layi Wasabi, and many more. Other actors like Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, and others reprise their roles.
The film arrives Netflix on March 1.
Showmax announces premiere dates for ‘Flawsome’, ‘Cheta M’ and the ‘Sadau Sisters’
February is a loaded month for Showmax. Following the platform’s relaunch, three shows are anticipated this month —Flawsome, Cheta’M and Sadau Sisters.

Directed by James Omokwe, Cheta’M is an epic series that tells the story of two lovers, Adanna(Oluchi Amauoyi) and Nnanna (Kinsley Nwachukwu), who have to fight spiritual and political opposition standing in the way of their love.
